Jennifer Lopez just wore two viral manicures at the same time

Meet the ‘double French' nail trend.

In recent months, Jennifer Lopez has been leading the charge when it comes to subtle manicures that have the potential to go viral.

From milky nails to lip gloss nails, she's done it all. Colour was rarely used on the singer's nails and when it was, the nail design was always monochrome. Until now!

So we had to do a double take when we saw her colourful twist on a classic French manicure, a trend we predict will be huge for summer 2024.

On April 22, the singer was spotted on a walk through New York. She was wearing an outfit that at first glance didn't scream summer at all: a black sweatshirt with a high collar and black jogging pants.

The sporty look and wet hair could be a sign that she had just been working out. But with such an understated outfit, our eyes naturally fell on J-Lo's colourful nails.

For her two-tone French nails, she opted for red and pink – two colours from the same shade family. Combined with a natural nail shape (almond-shaped, of course) she has, in our opinion, just revealed the perfect manicure for the sunny days ahead.

If you look closely, you'll also notice that it's not just the tip of the nail that has a pastel pink hue, but also the little half-moon on the nail bed.

Jennifer Lopez has chosen to combine two nail trends in one: classic French nails with reverse French nails, and in a colourful version at that.

The fact that she also opted for two similarly toned nail varnish shades ensures the look isn't too bold a statement.
